With a free Apple account, sideloaded apps expire after seven days unless refreshed. Keep AltServer running on the same Wi-Fi, or connect by USB, and use Refresh All in AltStore before they expire. Refreshing the signing period does not download a newer Kolo build.

The Android test build is for devices with a 64-bit ARM processor (arm64-v8a). Download the APK, open it, and allow installation from your browser or file manager if Android asks.

Keep Play Protect enabled. If Android reports a security issue, contact support with the exact message. Updates require downloading the newer APK and installing it over the existing Kolo app.
What’s in this beta
- New iOS characters in Emerald and Liquid Crystal now skip the professor and naming screens, use the character name, and start from a completed first save. Existing saves are preserved.
- Follower movement is retained across connected routes, and routine reconnects keep the iOS game picture visible.
- A translucent update notice lets you know when a newer Kolo build is available. Download this build once to receive future notices; updates still require manual installation.
- Trade recovery fix: receiving a higher-level Pokémon no longer blocks completion. Existing pending trades can resume; badge obedience still applies in battle. Update both trading devices.
- Ghosts, followers, and ferry actors stay visible through field dialogue and fades. iOS overlay cleanup preserves the game picture instead of flashing black.
- Trade preparation fix for FireRed and Liquid Crystal maps containing cloned objects. Install this update on both trading devices.
- Import FireRed USA 1.0 to prepare both Kanto and Johto. Kolo applies the included Liquid Crystal 3.3.00512 patch locally and keeps FireRed and existing saves. Already imported FireRed? Choose Create Liquid Crystal from FireRed in Manage Game Files.
- Email verification and forgotten-password reset.
- Ferry travel with shared Pokémon storage and regional inventory rules.
- Trade evolutions for eligible Pokémon.
- Global chat across regions, with sender region tags.
- Liquid Crystal reaches Kanto through Kolo ferry travel. After becoming Johto Champion, visit the Ecruteak elder for the Silver Wing. Mt Silver opens when the same character completes both the Johto and FireRed Leagues; an existing native unlock is retained.
Before installing an update
Return to character selection and wait for saving and synchronization to finish. Install over your existing app; do not uninstall it first. Use the same signing account on iOS. Keep your Kolo login separate from your Apple account.
Bring your own files
You need your own supported game ROM plus SoulSilver for follower artwork. SoulSilver is an artwork source, not a playable Kolo region. Kolo includes the Liquid Crystal patch, applied on your device to your own FireRed USA 1.0. The patch is not a playable ROM by itself. No base game ROMs, SoulSilver follower artwork packs, or ROM-download links are supplied.
